Marylin Monroe

She was born a Norma Jeane Mortenson on June 1, 1926 in Los Angeles, California, to her mother Gladys Baker. Though the face of father was never identified. She was then later baptized as Norma Jeane Baker. Her mother Gladys was agood woman but, while at work she tended to break down and was then sent to a mental institution.
Our star light spent the most of her childhood in foster homes until 1937. Soon she moved in with family friend Grace Goddard. But, when Grace couldn't afford to take care of her any more. She only had 2 options ahead of her. She could get married or she could return to the orphanage.

On June 19, 1942 she wed her 21-year-old neighbor Jimmy Dougherty, they had been together for 6 months. "She was a sweet, generous and religious girl," Jimmy said. "She liked to be cuddled.", and the two were happy with what they had until he joined the Merchant Marines and was sent to the South Pacific in 1944.

After Jimmy had to leave town, she took a job on the assembly line at a place called Radio Plane Munitions factory in Burbank, California and almost seven months later, a photographer David Conover saw her while taking pictures of women for a magazine
. Conover decided to use her that day and soon got her envolved in a modeling career of her own. But soon in only 2 years she was on almost on every magazine cover and had lots of credit to herself. After she began to take drama classes when she just knoew her carrer would take off. She had relized that she was faced with yet another decision 1946 when her husband came home and she had to decide what she wanted. An amazing carrer or him.

So, she divorced Jimmy in June of 1946, and signed her first studio contract with Twentieth Century Fox on August 26, 1946. She earned $125 per week and just knew she was set and I'm sure many of us don't know but, would love to. Her perfect blond hair was dyed and the name that went down in history. Well, Marilyn Monroe came from her favorite grandmother. Mind you she adored in the most loveable way possible.

Soon she married Joe di Maggio in 1954 but, the marriage was soon cut short because Joe just wasn't able to handle thousands of diffrent men all over his wife. But, it was as if her carrer was coming to an end. And her last film was Misfits and went on to win female World film favorite. But, no ssoner after on the morning August 5, 1962 she had died in her sleep in her California home. But, on August 8, Marilyn's body was laid to rest in the Corridor of Memories, #24, at Westwood Memorial Park in Los Angeles, California.

Now she's made 30 films, and is the global sensation of not only her own but, more generations to come
.
